In 1913 John Fairweather joined Green’s, the cinema pioneers. In 1923 he made short visit to New York to study some of the super-cinema designs. Steamship passenger lists record John Fairweather travelling to New York on the 22nd Sept 1923 on the RMS Tuscania. He returned from New York to Liverpool on the RMS Caronia on 28th Oct 1923.
